Primaraly the ramps are useful in a rehabilitation center since they smooth out the transition from one place to another at a calm pace. However I want to introduce a complemetary purpose to make the journey " meditative" as I first intended.
Introducing greenery into the space creates a "fitting on the site" effect because of the park and the nature scenery in front of the site.
The vertical gardens and waterfalls are a beautiful and poetic way to create a meditative experience along the ramps. I like how they allude to the nature outside, and there could be ways to continue that allusion on a smaller scale, such as mini vertical gardens in patient rooms that serve as a reminder of the meditative journey and another continuation of bringing the outside in.
ReplyDeleteThe key would be to exercise some restraint because you wouldn't want to inundate the project with so much 'garden' that it takes away the preciousness of it.
If you want to get into further detail, you might research what kinds of plants are most pleasing for a relaxing effect - visually, aromatically, etc. There might not be time to get into this much detail, but it's a good thing to keep in mind as far as a way in which to take an idea further. With all ideas, you can ask yourself how it could be taken further.
